On July 1, seven American volunteers traveled to northern Iraq to host the second annual "Girls Basketball Training Camp." More information coming soon!

 Iraqi Girls Basketball Visit:

Global Sports Partners/Sport 4 Peace partnered with Sports United of the U.S. Department of State to host an all-female team of Iraqi girls ages 14-16 and 3 Iraqi coaches. On June 3, the team arrived in Washington, D.C. where they spent the next 6 days taking part in various cultural activities arranged by Sports United. They cheered on runners during the Global Race for the Cure, overcame the challenges of a ropes course, attended a WNBA Washington Mystics v. Atlanta Dream game, learned to play Bocci ball, and took basketball lessons from George Mason's Head Coach Jeri Porter.

 Sport 4 Peace - Knoxville, TN:

On April 24-25, Sport 4 Peace teamed up with Healing Transitions (HT) to hold a soccer camp for Knoxville area refugee populations. For two days, S4P, HT, and members of the University of Tennessee Lady Vol Soccer Team played soccer with over 60 kids ages 5-18. In addition to a great weekend of soccer and meeting new friends, each kid returned home with a new soccer ball, cleats, shin guards, shorts, and a Knox Kicks Soccer t-shirt.
